This policy applies to personal information collected through jehielsholdings.co.za, including enquiries submitted via the Contact page, the Careers page, and any direct correspondence by phone, WhatsApp or email that references this website.

Jehiels Holdings is the parent group. Govenders Finance and Investments operates within the group under its own regulatory registrations. Where you apply for a financial product directly through Govenders' separate online application portal, that portal's own privacy terms govern that specific application process, in addition to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with this website, we may collect:

• Contact enquiries: first name, last name, company (optional), email address, phone number (optional), enquiry type, and the content of your message.
• Careers registrations: name, email address, phone number, area of interest, an optional message, and a CV file if you choose to upload one.
• Correspondence you send us directly by phone, WhatsApp or email, and the content of that correspondence.

This website does not itself use tracking cookies, analytics scripts or advertising pixels. See our Cookie Policy for the limited, third-party exceptions (an embedded map and a market-data widget).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to enquiries about finance, investment opportunities, partnerships or general questions.
• Consider registrations of interest for future career opportunities, including reviewing any CV submitted.

We process your personal information on the basis that you have consented to it by submitting a form on this website, that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you, or that processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation we are subject to as a registered credit provider and accountable institution.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with:

• Staff and representatives of Jehiels Holdings and Govenders Finance and Investments who need it to respond to your enquiry.
• Where you choose to apply for a loan through Govenders' separate online application portal (hosted by QuinnPay), the information you submit there is processed under that portal's own terms.
• Regulators and authorities, including the National Credit Regulator and the Financial Intelligence Centre, where we are legally required to report or disclose information.
• Professional advisers (such as auditors or legal counsel) where necessary, and always subject to confidentiality obligations.

6. Cross-Border Transfers

Some third-party services referenced on this site (including the Govenders loan application portal and embedded services such as Google Maps) may process or store information on servers located outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we rely on those providers maintaining an appropriate level of data protection consistent with POPIA's requirements for cross-border transfers.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by applicable law — including record-keeping obligations that apply to Govenders as a registered credit provider and accountable institution. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Your Rights Under POPIA

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Be informed that your personal information is being processed.
• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of personal information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete or misleading.
• Object to the processing of your personal information, on reasonable grounds.
• Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing that already took place.
• Complain to the Information Regulator if you believe your information has been processed unlawfully.

10. Children's Information

This website and the financial products it describes are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian, as required under POPIA.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.

12. Our Information Officer

Under POPIA, every organisation that processes personal information must designate an Information Officer, registered with the Information Regulator, who is responsible for compliance.

Govenders Finance and Investments has appointed and registered an Information Officer and Deputy Information Officer with the Information Regulator (registration number 2026-001991, effective 1 January 2026).
